大概是半年前意外地在實驗室裡聽到這首英文歌，當下我轉頭問播放人Nate這是何方神聖，電玩達人Nate說”這是很有名的遊戲Gears of War的主題曲啊，之前廣告做很大你都沒聽過嗎？”
我記得自己把頭歪了歪，說”不知道啊，這遊戲聽來一點都不和平快樂，不是我的菜(?!)，我以前聽到的是中文版本的。”同時心裡一直在想到底是誰唱的啊……一個女歌手…..到底是誰啊。 編曲像是一模一樣，唱來都是輕聲細語極了，聽來卻很沈重和悲傷的歌，可是到底中文是誰唱的？本來要google歌詞的，可是又完全記不清楚中文歌詞了。這個問題不斷在腦中迴盪，本來打算哪天遇到某些流行音樂達人可以哼給這些人聽，一定有人可以給我答案，可惜後來完全又忘了這回事。
今天在Nate的iPOD裡淘寶，又發現這首歌，心下大喜，可是到底那個中文版是誰唱的問題陰魂不散讓我完全無法專心工作，決定把它找到為止。找了很久，謝天謝地終於找到了，原來是阿桑唱的啊。
在搜尋當中，我順便發現了原來這個優美編曲版本也不是原唱，原唱是80年代一個英國團體Tears of Fears，後來被這位演唱人Gary Jules和專門編寫電影配樂的Michael Andrew改編成抒情版本。聽了80年代原唱後覺得真是個有千秋啊，但是要說悲傷和沈重的感覺，那要屬後來的版本了（維基也有關於這首歌的簡介，點這裡可以看到）。
